Community Councillor Vacancies

Parent Vacancy

On 8th March 2023, Mrs Bowen-Breslin wrote to all parents and carers regarding two parent vacancies on our Community Council. We were pleased to recruit a new member to fill one of these spaces, however still have one further space available. No special qualifications are needed for the role and training is available for all members, including a full induction.  We are looking for parents / carers who:

  • Have an interest in maximising the potential of all our students;

  • Are fully committed to the continuing success of Hillingdon Primary School; and

  • Are willing to spend some time helping to achieve these things.

The role is voluntary with no pay, but the satisfaction of playing a big part in making a positive difference to the life chances of our students is extremely rewarding.

Below you will find the following documents relating to the vacancies:

  • The Community Council Handbook which provides further information about the role, what is involved, and the areas of focus for the Community Council.

  • A copy of the letter sent to parents and carers on 31st March regarding the extension of the deadline for nominations for the vacancy.

  • A Frequently Asked Questions document that provides further detail about the appointment process and the remit and requirements of the role.

  • A nomination form: to be completed if you wish to apply for the role.

If anyone has any questions they would like to ask before considering the role, our Clerk, Mrs Daniel, will be happy to help you without obligation.  She can be contacted by email at clerk@hillingdonprimaryschool.org.uk or alternatively, leave your details at reception and she will contact you directly.

The deadline for applying is Tuesday 25th April 2023.  The application form below should be completed and returned to reception before 9.30am on this day.
